Arnab Sen


Twenty years of investment and asset management experience. Founder of Harbour Capital, a fully licensed and regulated multi-strategy investment firm in Hong Kong.

Deep understanding of the nuance of financial trading and operations under a licensed regime (margining, risk management, trading, clearing and settlement). Advisor to multiple successful start-ups. Previous roles include Portfolio Manager at Tiger cub asset manager Nezu Asia, portfolio manager at HSZ Group (US$1.4bn Long Only Fund and L/S fund).

Arnab started his career at UBS and has an economics degree from Cambridge University.

Raj Melwani


Over twenty-five years investment markets experience specialising in derivatives. COO and responsible officer at Harbour Capital.


Former Managing Director and Head of Derivative Sales at BofAML and UBS. Spent over a decade as a key relationship manager developing and expanding relationships with both Hedge Funds and Institutions. Focused on understanding client needs and management of portfolio risk. Led & managed large regional teams, distributing both over the counter (OTC) & listed derivatives across the Asia Pacific region with a deep understanding of derivative products, exchanges and regulations.


Early in his career Raj managed regional volatility trading books & priced and traded plain vanilla & exotic options at BZW.

Jon Mann

Chief Technology Officer

Twenty years of management experience in software development and information technology operations having managed teams of developers and systems operation staff of more than 200.


Jon worked with IBM Global Services and Sun Microsystems, consulting with various regulated entities, including Citibank. Provided solutions for the US Department of Defense in a secure telecommunications manufacturing facility. Worked at Orc software, a sister company to OMX (now NASDAQ).


An original member of Eclipse Trading, one of the largest derivative market-making firms in Asia as head of software development for the proprietary high frequency and low latency derivatives market-making platform.


Jon has been involved in blockchain and digital asset technology since 2012, and consulted with various large digital asset exchanges and trading firms.

Scott Riley

Chief Risk Officer

Over thirty years of finance experience. Senior capital markets professional with a successful track record of building and running global client-facing businesses centered on evolving market infrastructure and regulation.

Founding Director of Chi-X Europe, the first pan-European MTF. Responsible for the entire Chi-X Post Trade market model and all post trade solutions (from concept to implementation).

Scott has been an active participant in industry developments including being a member of the European Clearing and Settlement working group (which looked at the impacts of post-trade competition, including interoperability) following the introduction of MiFID. Scott has also been active with Central Banks, Regulatory Authorities and Government Organisations (Treasury, Finance, Competition) on the implementation of new market structures.

Over fifteen years of experience in recruitment across various industry sectors within APAC and EMEA.


Proven track record in recruiting mid to senior-level executives across both financial services and professional services (legal, accounting and media), with a network that spans investment, retail and private banking. Highly skilled across multiple verticals including Recruitment, Project Management, Executive Search and Firmwide D&I initiatives.


Thavy has a passion for helping businesses grow, securing the right talent for not only current but also future needs. She has been based in Asia for over seventeen years and has a Bachelor’s of Art in Chinese and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst

Alex Lenhart

Head of Sales and Membership

Over twenty-five years investment markets experience specialising in listed derivatives.


Former Chief Representative at SGX for the US and UK based in London. In this role, Alex and the UK/US team developed and expanded the relationships with exchange members, institutional clients and high frequency trading firms.


Former Managing Director and Head of Prime Derivative Services at Credit Suisse in London and former Manager Director and Head of Listed Derivative sales and execution at UBS in NY.  Led and managed regional teams in Europe and US with a focus on Listed derivate execution, sales and clearing.  Developed a deep understanding of listed derivative products, exchanges, clients and regulations.  


Early in his career, Alex was a listed derivative sales person at JPMorgan in Frankfurt and London where he covered German, Swiss and Austrian institutional clients. Prior to his role at JPM, Alex traded  fixed income OTC and listed derivative products at DZ Bank.

Andrew Chart

Head of Operations

Over twenty-five years’ experience working in Capital Markets with a focus on Listed Derivatives – Execution, Clearing and Prime Services.


Former Head of Operations at Newedge (previously Fimat prior to its merger with Calyon) during a period of aggressive expansion which saw the Global Group become the largest FCM in terms of volume and open interest cleared in the world. Post the acquisition of Newedge by Societe Generale took up a Front Office Sales and Trading role within the Newedge Prime Services Division.


Other prior roles include Prime Services & EMEA Head of ETD Commodities at UBS, and Sales Director at BNP responsible for selling Clearing, Settlement, Custody and Collateral Optimisation solutions to Institutional Clients.


Andrew brings deep expertise in execution, clearing, settlement, funding, collateral management, and the regulatory and asset protection frameworks within which firms operate.

Barry Gausden

Head of Infrastructure and Support

Over 30 years of experience in IT across multiple disciplines in a diverse range of industries, including Direct Marketing, ERP Software, Publishing and Fintech. At Orc Software (sister company of OMX/NASDAQ) and then Itiviti, Barry specialized in algorithmic and trading solution (software) design & implementation, leading the development of Itiviti’s first “shrinkwrapped” algorithmic products.


Barry then moved to leading Itiviti’s APAC Customer Success and Professional Services teams for some years. Barry then headed Product Management and Technical Sales, where he served as the regulatory lead for APAC and as part of Itiviti’s London-based MiFID II response team.

Ash Devani

Business Development

Over twenty years capital and financial markets experience primarily focussed on Derivatives with over 10 years gained at the world’s two largest Derivatives Exchanges.


Former Director of Business Development, Pricing and Planning at CME Group and managed Market Development in the Equity Derivatives team at NYSE Liffe that was subsequently purchased by the Intercontinental Exchange.


Ash has significant experience managing institutional relationships particularly across liquidity providers, understanding behavioural impact and implementing market structure related solutions.


As well as designing market-maker and incentive programmes, he has worked on improving Central Order Book liquidity and on building Open Interest across all asset classes in EMEA, APAC and North America. He has also worked closely with key regulators and index providers.

Thomas Tritton

Director, Business Management

Over twenty years of experience in capital and financial markets, primarily in Futures and Options, Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities and Prime Broking.


Thomas is a former Senior Director of Newedge, formerly the work’s largest futures and options broker by volume, where he managed strategic initiatives in the COO, Finance and Operations departments, and was a Director in the COO and strategy departments of Société Générale and UBS.


Most recently Thomas worked at HSBC where, as Director, Equities Control Officer, he managed a 2-year SFC inspection of the Group’s Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives platform in Hong Kong, and instituted and lead the Equity Derivatives and Prime Broking Electronic Trading Control Committee.

Dom Penton

Non-Executive Chairman

Over twenty-five years of investment markets experience. Former Managing Director and Head of Equity Sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and the UK. Key relationship manager for top tier institutional accounts across a complex product suite, including prime brokerage services.


Considerable experience implementing and monitoring compliance to best in class internal and external rules and regulations.

Recent roles include product development at Floww, a disruptive venture capital platform, and strategic financial consultant to Block.one on crypto-related projects.


An active investor in early-stage fintech companies. Previously licensed with the Hong Kong SFC and FINRA. A member of the UK Institute of Directors.

Frederick Towfigh

Strategic Advisor

Over 25 years of Asia-Pacific financial markets experience, Fred currently serves as a strategic advisor to several early-stage fintechs.


Fred is a former Operating Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisors and a retired Partner and past President of Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte.  He spent over 22 years at Goldman Sachs, holding various roles in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore.  Fred headed Asia Pacific Prime Brokerage, Futures, Electronic Trading and Synthetic Products before assuming responsibility for the firm’s overall Equities and FICC franchises in Southeast Asia. 


Fred is a Japan Regional Board Member of Room to Read.  He earned a BA from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Peter Jaeger

Peter L Jaeger

Strategic Advisor

A native New Yorker, Peter has a 30-year career in financial markets and listed derivatives.  He is a fluent Japanese speaker/reader/writer who has earned peerless credibility with investors, intermediaries, and regulators in Japan and globally.


Peter entered finance in 1988 as a bond salesman at Bankers Trust, Tokyo, covering Japanese and Asian clients.  He advanced to MD country head and Asia Pacific regional head roles at JP Morgan, BAML, and Citi, where he covered senior clients, drove strategic pitches, and hired and led teams as a selling manager.  His markets knowledge is comprehensive across products and asset classes.


Peter is Senior Director, Japan and Japan/Asia marketer for Medley Global Advisors, the exclusive deep-sourced market research firm that covers monetary policy, macroeconomics, domestic politics and geopolitics for G10 and emerging nations from its locations in New York, London, and Asia.


Peter holds an auditor role on the board of the Tokyo Commodities Exchange (TOCOM), having served as a non-executive director for seven years prior.  He also served as Vice-President, Board Member, and Chairman of the Virtual Currency Committee at FIA Japan for nine years.  In these roles, Peter has had extensive interaction with Japan’s key market regulators, the FSA and METI. 

Greg Griffin

Strategic Advisor – Trading and Risk Management

Over twenty-five years of experience in financial markets and a derivatives trading specialist. Greg started his career at Hull Trading (subsequently purchased by Goldman Sachs).


A former Executive Director Morgan Stanley and Head of Asia Market Making desk and Co-Head of USA options book (one of the largest options primary market makers in the USA).


One of the Senior Management Team and Head Quant at Eclipse Options. Founding member of the Electronic Trading Association in HK, helping regulators better understand and improve electronic automated markets.


Greg worked with HKEX and SGX designing derivative contract specifications, market-making programs, analyzing anomalous market behaviours and authoring responses to regulator’s request for consultation.


Currently, Greg is the general manager of Demarc Capital focused on Cryptocurrency quantitative automated trading.

Dan Heyler

Strategic Advisor

Daniel Heyler is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Heyler Capital which manages a global technology portfolio and invests directly in private companies and crypto-assets.


Daniel has also completed advisory work for TSMC, CloudAlpha, eFusion and Aegis Custody. He has a knack for identifying disruptive trends and winning companies that generate high returns for clients. 


Daniel was an award-winning global technology equity analyst and Managing Director who ranked #1 for five consecutive years at BofA-Merrill Lynch(now BofAS). Daniel is known for his systematic research process, which generated differentiated, non-consensus investment recommendations for global institutional investors. He also held key leadership roles as the global head of BofAS semiconductor research and earlier as head of Asia/Japan technology over his 17 years at the firm. 


Daniel holds a Masters in Business from Kellogg School, Northwestern and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Bowdoin College.

Yvon Choi

Strategic Advisor – Corporate Finance

Over twenty-five years of financial markets experience, primarily in derivatives, equity-linked trading as well as capital markets.

Formerly Asian head of trading at Elliott Advisors, Nomura & Standard Chartered Bank where he sat on their Global Equity Management Team. Since his move to France in 2015, Yvon has been an active supporter as a board member and investor in several French start-ups, including Hublo, Mooncard, Finfrog and Dualsun.

He is currently CFO at Blade, a cloud computing provider based in Paris.

Alan Crawley

Strategic Advisor – Exchange Strategy

Alan has over twenty-six years of experience in financial markets with specific expertise in derivatives, market making, risk management and managing trading operations.


Alan joined Timber Hill as an options trader in 1994 and moved to Hong Kong in 1996 to help build the Asian trading business. He oversaw proprietary trading for the Asian region, including Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, India, Taiwan and Korea and supervised the execution of client business in Australia.


He served in senior management as a director of Interactive Brokers Hong Kong and as a director of Timber Hill Australia.


Alan has been a member of stocks and futures exchanges in the United States, Hong Kong and Australia.

Anthony Mackay

Strategic Advisor – Exchange Strategy

Over thirty years of finance experience. Tony has a unique global track record in building, growing and exiting global brokers and alternative exchanges having successfully sold businesses to market incumbents such as Nomura, NASDAQ & BATS.


Tony joined Instinet in 1995 to build their global business. Instinet sold its US ATS division for $1.5b to NASDAQ in 2005. In 2007 Tony became the founding CEO/Chairman of Chi-X Europe, an alternative securities market that within three years had become the biggest trading venue in Europe. Chi-X Europe was bought by a US exchange, BATS, in 2011.


Following on from Chi-X Europe, Tony was CEO of Chi-X Global which launched new electronic financial markets in Canada, Australia and Japan and was sold to NASDAQ and JC Flowers in 2016 (combined exit for Chi-X was > US$600mn).
